In order to fulfill the massive demand for goods and streamlined delivery, Amazon distribution centers have been popping up all over the country. Florida in particular has been a fast-growing market for Amazon evidenced in the recent explosion of warehouse locations across the state, four in the west central area since 2014.
GeoPoint crews have been on site for these warehouse projects in Ruskin and Lakeland, and most recently in Venice and Temple Terrace. At right around 1 million square feet each, the construction undertaking for these projects is massive and fast-paced. In partnership with Ripa & Associates, GeoPoint’s construction support services department has been on the ground providing surveys, constructions staking and topography reports to aid in the transitioning the projects from development to construction phases.
Ruskin figures for page feature: 1.1 million square feet, 10 miles of conveyor belts, size of 28 football fields, 2500+ employees
